The lecture Synthesis and Optimization of Microelectronic Systems addresses students in electrical engineering, computer engineering and computer science who are interested in design automation of hardware dominated embedded systems. It introduces the whole implementation chain from systems specification down to implementation on register transfer level.

This lecture is given in English language! The lecture is obligatory for diploma students registered for the major in "Informationsverarbeitung" as well as for students in the master programs "Eingebettete Systeme" (ESY), "Integrierte Systeme" (INS) and "Embedded Computing Systems". For other students the lecture is in the supplementary catalog.

A DVD-R with the videos of semester 2004/05 can be borrowed from our group and copied. The lecture has been converted to PowerPoint slides in English language in semester 2008/09, but it follows in big parts the videos. All videos are in German language.
